Claudia Brucken “Where Else”

Following on in a similar melancholic vein to 2012’s “The Lost are Found”, “Where Else” is a collection of new songs with with an increased acoustic leaning (Brucken recently learned to play the guitar). The voice, as always, is magnificent and there are plenty of enjoyable hooks. Some may find the relentless downtempo spirit a little wearisome (a couple of more up-tempo numbers such as the fab “Nevermind” would have helped). For the rest of us, we can kick-back and enjoy the privilege of new material from a unique vocalist. 7/10
