GusGus “Mexico”

More sophisto dance music from the ever revolving GusGus troupe. It’s very polished and nicely follows the trajectory of previous albums “24/7” and “Arabian Horse”. It’s also pleasantly sleek, although lacks real killer cuts (although “Airwaves” had us tapping a foot, we noted). At 3am in a dark club, tanked-up on poppers, it’s probably a soul-shuddering experience, but from the comfort of our front-room, it’s merely quite pleasant. 6/10
