MGMT “MGMT”

Top-loaded at the start with it’s more “accessible” cuts, album #3 descends into a fug of half-baked ideas and noodle (read b-side vanity) as it wanders towards the end of its 45 minutes. We love MGMT, but they are really testing our patience now (and no, we don’t want more “Kids”). If you’re looking for a psych-rock-wig-out, see the Flaming Lips – they do this kind of thing somewhat/miles better.
